Department of Renewable Energy, MAKAUT,WB Organized First Lecture of their "Webinar Series 2022" on 15th January, 2022.
The Department of Renewable Energy under School of Energy and Environmental Sciences organized their first lecture of the “Webinar Series 2022” on 15th January 2022 at 11.00AM on Zoom Platform.
The Guest speaker for this webinar was Ms. Sirsha Majumder, Assistant Manager, Premier Energies Photovoltaic Pvt Ltd., Hyderabad.
Prof. Saikat Maitra, Honorable Vice Chancellor, MAKAUT, WB inaugurated the Webinar after an introductory speech of Prof. T.K. Parya, Director, School of Energy and Environmental Science. Prof. Parya, in his speech explained the enormous potential of renewable energy sources and their various scopes of advanced research in this field at present and in future.
In the inaugural speech, Honourable Vice Chancellor congratulated to the Webinar Committee for organizing a series of webinar by the department. He pointed out the importance of organizing the series of lecture on regular basis for sharing industrial and academic knowledge among the interested participants from the speakers of different domain of renewable energy. He also highlighted various aspects of clean and renewable energies that can be harnessed for our day-to-day life to save our earth from global warming.
Ms. Sirsha Majumder, the speaker, presented the detail outline of PV manufacturing process and quality control (QC) undertaken in the plant. Her lecture was primarily focused on step-by-step fabrication of poly-crystalline Si based solar panel, current technological know-hows on solar panel designing and their integration for final quality check.
Around 250 participants including students, research scholars from the department, different institutions & organizations interacted with the speaker during question-answers sessions after the lecture.
Prof. B.B.Paira, Academic Advisor, MAKAUT,WB who joined as panellist highly encouraged and motivated the committee members for conducting such wonderful program by the department.
Prof. Ananta Kumar Das, HOD, Dept. of Renewable Energy, delivered the valedictory speech where he highlighted the importance and take-home messages of this lecture. He also mentioned the future plan of lecture series that will be organized by Dept. of Renewable Energy.
The program was ended with the vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Subhajit Saha, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Renewable Energy.
Sri Kunal Chowdhury, Assistant Professor of the department and Moderator steered the entire program.
